Description This command is used to check in the focused project document to your version control database.

Use First, ensure that the project you wish to check in is focused in the Projects panel. Click on the top-level project document entry. The command can then be accessed from the project-related menu (right-click or press the Project button).

After launching the command, the Check in file(s) dialog appears, with the entry for the focused project document selected ready for checking in. All constituent documents for the project are also listed. Enable any of these additional documents that you wish to check in as required.

After clicking OK, the document will be checked into the version control database, in accordance with check in options defined for your version control software and the VCS display icon for the document's entry in the Projects panel will change to (Checked in).

Notes Focus a project in the Projects panel either by selecting it from the drop-down list at the top of the panel, or by clicking on its entry (or any of its sub-folder or document entries) in the panel.

If the focused project and any of its constituent documents have been modified, they should be saved prior to using this command, otherwise the last saved version of the file(s) will be added to the version control database and not the latest document(s).

If you have checked in your copy but it is still checked out by others elsewhere, the VCS display icon for the document's entry in the Projects panel will be (Checked out).

To display the current version control status of documents in the Projects panel, enable the Show VCS status option in the Projects Panel tab of the Design Explorer Preferences dialog. Hovering the cursor over the iconic status entry for a document will provide textual confirmation of its status.
