Description This command is used to place the current clipboard contents into any open Schematic Editor or Schematic Library Editor document.

Use After launching the command, a highlighted outline of the selected objects will appear floating on the cursor. The cursor position relative to the selection is determined by the reference point designated when Cut or Copy was used to add the selection to the clipboard. Position the selection in the document window and click or press ENTER to effect the paste.

Press the SPACEBAR while the object is floating on the cursor to rotate the object. Rotation is anti-clockwise and in steps of 90°.

Press the TAB key while the object is floating on the cursor to open the Paste To Position dialog, from where you can specify XY coordinates in the workspace, at which to paste the object.

Press the X or Y keys while the object is floating on the cursor, to flip the object along the X-axis or Y-axis respectively.

Notes The Design Explorer does not use the Windows clipboard for normal cut/copy and paste operations in schematic documents. Instead, a separate internal clipboard is maintained for this document type. Also, the internal schematic clipboard is entirely independent of the internal clipboards used by the editors of other Design Explorer-based servers. You can only cut/copy and paste between or within schematic documents.

While the schematic clipboard is normally independent of the Windows clipboard, there is some limited interaction. Text placed on the Windows clipboard can be pasted into a schematic Text Frame object.
