Description This command enables you to move any object in the current document.

Use After launching the command, the cursor will change to a crosshair. Simply position the cursor over an object in the design and click or press ENTER. The object will appear floating on the cursor. Move the object to the required position and click or press ENTER to effect placement.

Continue moving other objects, or right-click or press ESC to exit.

Press the TAB key during movement to edit the object's properties.

Press the SPACEBAR while in movement mode to rotate the object. Rotation is anti-clockwise and in steps of 90°.

Press the X or Y keys while in movement mode to flip the object along the X-axis or Y-axis respectively.

Notes Connectivity is not maintained when using this command. If connectivity needs to be maintained during a move, use a Drag command instead.

Press the ALT key while moving, to constrain the direction of movement to the horizontal or vertical axis, depending on the initial direction of movement.

The Schematic Editor/Schematic Library Editor automatically stacks objects, text and graphics in layers. Each object is on a different layer depending on the creation order and therefore it is possible to place objects so that they overlap. The objects created or added recently are always on the top layer. When using this command to reposition an object, the object will retain its original order in the stack.
