(Menu) : Tools » Remove Component

Description This command is used to remove components from the current document.

Use First ensure that the component that you wish to remove is selected in the Components list in the SCH Library panel (and is therefore the active component in the main design window).

After launching the command, a confirmation dialog will appear, asking whether you wish to proceed with the deletion. After clicking Yes, the component will be removed from the library document and the next component (below) in the Components list will become the active component.

Notes Multiple components cannot be deleted using this command. If you do select a group of components from the list (using standard CTRL+Click and SHIFT+Click selection controls) and launch the command, only the last component to have been included in the selection will be deleted.

Components can also be deleted directly from the SCH Library panel, using the right-click pop-up menu. If using the panel to delete components, multiple deletion can be carried out.
