Description This command is used to quickly create a sheet symbol based on an existing schematic document.

Use First, ensure that the schematic document in which you want to place the sheet symbol is the active document in the main design window.

After launching the command, the Choose Document to Place dialog will appear. This dialog lists all of the schematic documents in the active project (excluding the current document). Select the document you would like to base your sheet symbol on and click OK.

A dialog will appear, asking whether you wish to reverse input/output directions. This option changes the new symbol's sheet entry electrical types to be opposite to those of the ports on the sub-sheet.

Choose Yes or No as required - the sheet symbol will be created floating on the cursor. Simply position the symbol and click or press ENTER to place. The sheet symbol will have the correct filename to link it to the sub-sheet and will have sheet entries to match each of the ports on the sub-sheet.

Notes The name and filename attributes of the sheet symbol are based on the filename for the schematic document.
