You can rotate a pad easily using the Rotate tool.
To rotate a pad:
Click on the edge of the pad to select it.
Right-click and select Rotate, or select Edit > Modify Elements > Rotate.
Position your pointer over the corner grab handle you want to rotate the pad around.
Click and drag to rotate the pad, then release your mouse button.
