Some elements have a defined Insertion Point, which is the point on the element that is attached to the cursor when you are inserting the element. For most elements, the insertion point is at the bottom of the element. For windows and wall openings, the insertion point is at the top of the element. When changing the elevation of an element, the distance is measured from the floor or terrain to the element's insertion point.
To edit an element’s insertion point:
Access the element's properties.
Select the Behavior tab.
Edit the values in the X Axis, Y Axis and Z Axis edit boxes, or use the sliders beside these edit boxes.
An X value moves the insertion point left or right. A Y value moves the insertion point forwards or backwards. A Z value moves the insertion point up or down on the element.
Click OK.
